Todd Haynes’ Carol produced by Number 9 Films, Killer Films and Film4 landed five Golden Globe nominations including best film, director, actress nods for both Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, and original score for composer Carter Burwell.

Lenny Abramson’s Room produced by Element Pictures, A24 and No Trace Camping scored a hat-trick with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with nominations for best film, actress for Brie Larson and screenplay by Emma Donoghue.  Jay Roach’s Trumbo has seen Bryan Cranston nominated for his first movie Golden Globe and a fourteenth nomination for Helen Mirren.   Paolo Sorrentino’s Youth also landed a twelfth nomination for Jane Fonda and a best original song (Simple Song No 3) nomination, whilst Dan Fogelman’s Danny Collins has awarded a seventeenth nomination for Al Pacino. 

Belgian filmmaker Jaco Van Dormael’S The Brand New Testament premiered earlier this year in the Directors’ Fortnight in Cannes and selected as the Belgian entry for the Oscars® draws a Golden Globe nomination for best foreign language film.
