Freeway Entertainment Group is expanding its services into a new business line and forming a new Production Accounting Department.  

We seek an accurate and organized Statutory Accountant to join our Production Accounting Team. 

The Statutory Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely processing of crew payroll, compliance checks, and financial transactions in alignment with production standards and legal requirements. 


Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze financial statements for production activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records of production costs, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold.
    • Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports and disclosures related to production accounting.
       
  • Statutory Compliance:
    • Stay up-to-date with all relevant statutory requirements and regulations affecting production accounting.
    • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory guidelines, and reporting requirements related to production activities. 
    • Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities as needed to support statutory audits and inquiries.
       
  • Cost Analysis and Control:
    • Analyze production costs and variances to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
    • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate recording of production transactions.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to management for cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements.
       
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate production accounting processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices in production accounting. 
    • Participate in system enhancements and upgrades to support the evolving needs of the production accounting function. 
       

Requirements

We'd love to meet you!

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, particularly as they relate to production activities. 
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
