Payroll Accountant

Freeway Entertainment Group is expanding its services into a new business line and forming a new Production Accounting Department.

We seek an accurate and organized Payroll Accountant to join our Production Accounting Team.

The Payroll Accountant will ensure the accurate and timely processing of crew payroll, compliance checks, and financial transactions in alignment with production standards and legal requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Compliance Check for Crew Members:
    • Ensure crew members' compliance with payroll and labor regulations.
    • Verify and maintain accurate records of crew members' compliance documents.
  • Start Form Maintenance:
    • Administer and maintain crew start forms, ensuring all required information is accurately recorded.
  • PO Checking and Handling Discrepancies:
    • Examine purchase orders (PO) and reconcile them with the production budget.
    • Address and resolve discrepancies as needed.
  • Handling Any Additional Forms, if Needed:
    • Manage any supplementary forms or documents required for payroll processing.
  • Responsible for Crew Agreements:
    • Oversee the preparation and management of crew agreements, ensuring compliance with production policies.
  • Collecting and Checking Crew Invoices:
    • Collect crew invoices, review them for accuracy, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Collecting Data for EKHO Payroll Calculation:
    • Gather necessary data for EKHO payroll calculation software.
    • Provide information to the Statutory Payroll department.
  • Transfer Preparing:
    • Prepare and organize payroll transfers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Arrange for Approval for Any Crew Invoice:
    • Facilitate the approval process for crew invoices, obtaining necessary clearances.
  • Arrange for Payment Transfer for Approved Invoices:
    • Coordinate and initiate payment transfers for approved crew invoices.


Requirements

Especially if you can talk to us about your:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in payroll processing for production or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labor and payroll regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Fluent English
  • Extensive contact and business network
